Pretty much every modern music group from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Kendrick Lamar is indebted to the signature sounds of funk and P-Funk pretty much invented funk.

Breweries are in an endless cycle of invention and imitation, too. When we’re brewing with a new hop, or a new hop product, it’s always the hope that something in the final beer will be worthy of imitation. Something shiny and new. Something strange. Something cool. Something... funky.
